When we talk about a natural gas heater, then its propellant i.e. natural gas forms its core element. Being a natural source of energy, it forms an excellent option to be used in such heaters due to its clean combustion properties. It?s also cost effective and a powerful source of energy being used for the past many years.

In the present era, one can find plenty of options to beat cold and harsh conditions. Then the heat may be obtained either through burning wood or some liquid fuel. Amidst all this stands a crucial decision to opt for a strategy which can give you cost effective and reliable results. And a natural gas heater is one of them which you can surely rely upon.

Sometimes we must have seen tall structures with a thin but powerful flame coming from top and a perforated metal sheet on its top which distributes heat to the surroundings. Such a structure is commonly called as a patio heater which is run on variety on fuels including natural gas.

Firstly there are patio heaters being run on natural gas. Such a natural gas heater has its cost effectiveness due to reasonable price of natural gas and is very effective in its working. Also installation is not a problem with them as they need not be plugged to any electrical source.

To categorize a natural gas heater, it is broadly done under two- forced air and infra red. The former utilizes blue flame which has the highest temperature and thus effective in its heating. However it at times may lead to blowing away saw dust which seems undesirable. The latter one, being a bit expensive than the former one, generally radiates its heat by heating the nearby objects first.

A propane patio heater makes use of pressurized gases like propane for heating purposes. They are also self-contained, which means they do not need to be plugged to external gas lines or electricity. Also the wheels attached to it help in easy transport to any part of your house thus making them a portable gas heater.

Propane patio heater has an additional advantage of heating only the non-insulated portions of indoors and not just heating the whole area thereby making it very efficient. They are also compact in size due to the presence of a compact propane cylinder attached to it. Thus it provides easy handling capability to a propane patio heater.

Patio heaters using propane as a fuel goes a step ahead in terms of price as compared to patio heaters using natural gas as their fuel. However in terms of efficiency both seem to be at par with each other. However natural gas being a natural source of fuel, a natural gas heater must be encouraged.
